The Andy Gilbert JB cue is a quality made cue. I bought a used Andy Gilbert 13 JB cue about 10 years ago. It’s 2026 and this cue rolls well, you cannot feel the inlays or joints, the coating feels “just right,†and the connection points are flush and like new. I didn’t care for the original tip (individual preference), so I had a Kamikaze tip put on it. I like the result. So for breaking, this cue is a solid option. As for jumping, I can jump with the Gilbert JB cue, but it takes more effort than a dedicated jumper. Understand that jumping ability depends heavily on tip and technique. My only negative: The weight is not adjustable.
